Launching from Wow TV on Wednesday, July 12, 2023, the name of the new girl group that will be introduced by DSP Media in the second half of 2023 has been revealed as YOUNG POSSE.
This became known after DSP Media launched a new girl group logo with the name, YOUNG POSSE, and officially announced the group name.
According to DSP Media, YOUNG POSSE comes from the Latin POSSE, which means ‘can do’ or ‘may’, and literally means ‘a group of young people gathered with a purpose’.
The name contains a strong aspiration and a strong will that we can achieve what we want only if we work together rather than alone.
Then there is the determination to display YOUNG POSSE’s unique and eccentric charm with music and performances that break the basic equation of the K-pop scene that has never been seen before.
The released logo image also expresses the group’s distinct individuality in a different calligraphic format that sets itself apart from the usual, adding to the hip charm.
